CREST: PR Tracker, 1RM Log
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Crest has no account and no sign-up. Your lifts never leave your phone. The only thing that is sent is an anonymous count of which parts of the app get used, and you can switch that off in Settings.
Everything Crest knows about you is stored on your device and nowhere else:
We cannot see any of it. Delete the app and it is gone with it.
You can put one of your own photos behind a card you share. Crest holds a reference to that picture only while the card is on screen, and only long enough to draw it. The photo is never copied off your device and never uploaded.
When you share a card, iOS hands the image to whichever app you pick. What happens to it after that is covered by that app’s own privacy policy, not ours.
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to count how the app is used in aggregate. It tells us whether people get past the first lift, whether they come back, and which parts are worth building on.
What is sent: the app was opened, one “active today” event per day, how far the intro got and, if you answer, how you heard about the app; a lift was logged (whether it was the first, whether it set a record, whether the exercise is a bodyweight one) or imported (how many, and from which app); a PR suggestion or the progress card was shown; the rank changed; a card was shared; the paywall was shown or closed, and whether a trial, purchase or restore went through; notifications were asked for or opened; a friend was told about the app; and a backup was exported. Each event also carries the week you installed, the days since then and how many lifts you have. Never a lift’s name, a weight, or anything you typed.
What is never sent: exercise names you typed, weights, reps, dates, notes, your bodyweight, your name or your email. We never have any of it.
No identifier is stored. The analytics id lives in memory for one launch and is never written to your phone, no profile is kept behind the events, and your IP address is discarded. Which means we can count how many people did something, and can never tell that two of those events were you.
Settings → Privacy → Anonymous counts turns it off completely.
Crest Pro is bought through Apple. We never see your name, your email or your card – Apple handles the payment and tells us only whether a subscription is active.
We use RevenueCat to receive that answer. They are given an anonymous identifier for the install and the details of the purchase itself (which plan, whether a trial is running, when it renews). They are not given your lifts, your bodyweight or anything you typed, and the identifier is not tied to you by name or email.
The app checks with RevenueCat when it starts, so it can tell whether this install has Pro. That check sends the anonymous identifier and nothing else. If you never subscribe, the identifier is all they ever receive.
Crest is not directed at children under 13, and collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If Crest ever starts collecting anything, it will say so here first and in the app.
