Bogey Blamer
Last updated: March 2026
Bogey Blamer respects your privacy. The app is designed to collect as little data as possible while providing community features like voting and a leaderboard.
Local preferences (haptics, notification settings, review prompt state) are stored only on your device and are never transmitted.
Anonymous analytics: We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous usage signals (e.g. app opened, excuse generated, category changed). TelemetryDeck hashes your anonymous device identifier so it cannot be traced back to you. No personal data, IP addresses, or device identifiers are stored. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
Community voting: When you vote on an excuse, that vote is sent to our backend (Supabase) and stored anonymously. No user account, name, email, or device identifier is attached to your vote.
If you enable notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device (daily excuse, re-engagement reminders). These are entirely local and do not involve any server.
We rely on legitimate interest for anonymous analytics (TelemetryDeck) as no personal data is processed. Local storage on your device falls outside GDPR scope. Community votes are anonymous and not linked to any individual.
The app does not knowingly collect any personal data from children or any other users.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL.
